Sell Like a Monk: A Comprehensive Sales System Based On Person Centric/Strengths Selling
Workshops/Coaching
Overcoming Underperformance andCreating Happy, Prosperous sales people and Thriving Sales organizations!
For many decades now sales has been about performance driven results, this approach or what many call a “numbers game” says that if we make enough calls, have enough appointments, do enough presentations and close enough sales we’ll be successful. And those numbers are generally patterned after someone past or present that has been achieving those numbers. The theory goes on to say that if we do the numbers then we'll be successful and if we’re successful we’ll be happy. This approach has led to two crises, one is that turnover in most sales professions is extremely high, between 35 and 40% of sales people turnover each year, 3 times higher than any other profession and in some industries the numbers are even worse, over 80% of realtors won’t survive the first 5 years and over 94% of financial advisors won’t survive the first two years.
In addition over the last few years and especially post COVID we have a mental health crisis in the sales professions. A recent study by the Sales Health Alliance indicates that mental health is a big problem in sales today and the three primary drivers to mental health problems in sales people are micro-management by managers, missing targets and working with other de-motivated sales people.
What would happen if selling was about being virtuous, about making people happy, about using your God given gifts, strengths and talents, about striving for excellence and about joy. What if our work was about competing against ourselves so that each day we’re better and we leave our work and organizations in a better place than they were the day before. That is person centric/strengths based selling, that is Sell Like a Monk, a comprehensive selling system using The Monk Principles!
